Electric Vehicle Assembly Automation

A testament to the power of innovation by optimization to create an impressive assembly line that optimized production and increased profitability.

  1. Employed Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Jack Simulation software to devise and implement optimal automation strategies for the powertrain assembly process of Bajaj Chetak, an electric vehicle manufacturer producing 960 vehicles per day.

  2. Utilized SolidWorks to revamp the cost-analysis and time-analysis models of the vehicle, which involved calculating net capital investment versus profit margins. Redesigned the parts using Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles, resulting in a 5% improvement in factory throughput.

  3. This project showcases the successful application of PLM and simulation software in optimizing the powertrain assembly process of an electric vehicle. It also highlights the importance of cost and time analysis models, as well as DFM principles, in enhancing manufacturing efficiency.
